    Default MP Dinobots

Hey guys, I'm making this thread because I wanted to get some opinions from people. I've basically decided to go with the Fans Toys dinobots over the other 3rd parties, but I wanted to know if I should get HasTak MP Grimlock (apparently they're releasing in TRU in July or something), or wait for Fans Toys to release theirs.

Again, this is just to get some opinions, so there really isn't a definitive answer to this, more of an 'open discussion' as I'd like to get other people's perspective.

Not really much that can be said because so far only Scoria is being released. any discussion is going to be based on prototype photos.

Fanstoys seems to have overwhelming support by everyone interested in MP Dinobots. Given their previous work on Quakewave, I can see why.

But, I'm holding out for Gigapower's set of Dinobots because they're taller.

If you want MP-03 Grimlock when he comes out, get him. He's a great figure.
But if you're the kind of collector that's concerned about scale (and lets face it, quite a few of us are), he is smaller than he should be. He's shorter than MP-10 Optimus Prime in robot mode. It seems most of the 3rd party Dinobots are making theirs bigger to scale properly with Masterpiece.
Any figure that comes with swords demands wrist articulation.

Yea. I was struggling to decide whether to go with Fans Toys or Gigapower for quite a while actually. The way I see it though is, Fans Toys have been well praised for their Quakewave, and all the review samples of Scoria so far, so they have a good track record, where as Gigapower is a completely new company with no in-hand product review I know of. Also, if I decided to go the Fans Toys route later down the track, I'd be sheer out of luck due to almost every site PRE-orders being full, and the likelihood of after market going to be obscene (Like Quakewave, the apparent thousand dollar toy...)

As you mentioned, scale is definitely one of my concerns with MP Grimlock, where the platform shoes with Scoria will help. but I have no idea how goofy it may look in hand, and the back pack they form in Dino-mode just looks unusual to me (although I do appreciate the thought).

So I guess right there really is my conundrum in terms of Grimlock. Do I go with a toy that may very well be cheaper AND official? or wait for an unofficial release that may not even be made?

I just wish we were all billionaires so we could buy ALL the toys... I'm greedy like that, lol.

Fan Toys for sure. I like that they included the boots for Grimlock as i wasn't keen on buying another $200 toy that's 10% bigger. It scales well in dino mode also

foul demon! Do not tempt me with your enticing words! My wallet already hates me for pre-ordering Scoria, along with various other pricey 3rd parties supposedly coming out this month...

hmmm im curious with this... I too want to complete the 5 Dinobots.

I already have mp08 and he needs any of the other dinobots! he is feeling abit lonely on the shelf being the only dinobot.

why does it take soooo long for anyone to make them!
