Really is this the place for that kind of humour?... Thought we were a little bit more mature then that...

    Yeah right! Carry on

Anyway back to the figure. I'm glad I preordered this one. I don't have a lot of MPs but this will be an awesome addition to the collection.

I thought its the other way around…? Mp10 is g1 toy colours and hasbro is animation coloursv

Takara MP Soundwave was the one with the red visor.

TakTOM's MP10 looks more like both the G1 toy and cartoon, but the blue eyes are definitely modelled after the cartoon as the original toy has yellow eyes. Hasbro's MP10's lighter colours look more similar to the G1 comics ('cept for the toy & comic-inaccurate blue eyes), but I suspect that that's just a coincidence... my guess is that Hasbro may have chose the brighter colours to make the toy more eye-catching on shelves. We know that's the reason why they have really huge packaging (Hasbro's MP Prowl is a classic example of this ).

I own the Hasbro version and I've seen the TakaraTOMY version for myself IRL, and IMHO the TakaraTOMY version hands down looks better than the Hasbro version. Mind you, at full RRP it's approx. $100 dearer than Hasbro's version too.

I love the back detail they did. I completely forgot about it and it looks great.

By the looks of the official pics with transformation shots, I think the chrome is the fuel tanks. The bumper appears to be half way up the butt flap.

I still think the Hasbro one has better eyes and Takara also forgot to paint his horns on his chest whereas the Hasbro one did and that's show accurate.

Don't worry about it. It's a common misconception. Hasbro's brighter, cartoonier colours may seem more reminiscent of G1 but that's quickly dispelled when an actual comparison is done.
