Brainstorm (so-so alt-mode, but sweet-looking bot mode), Bombshell (and a Shrapnel, and hopefully eventually a Kickback), Chromia and Arcee are all on my list - once TT puts them out, anyway. Too much great stuff coming out soon for me to put down import prices here.
Also agree that Chromia would make for a great Afterburner retool.
Would probably pick up more of the Legends, but I've already got versions of most of them that I'm happy with. On the fence re. Powerglide.

News of combiners sounds good, though I imagine it'll be a bit like the FoC Combaticons where I'll be looking for a 3P add-on kit to iron out the rough edges. Still, that's a hell of a lot better than getting into the 3P combiner scene in a big way (I'm making an exception for Feral Rex, but otherwise 3P combiners are a bit too costly for my tastes) or trying to hunt down G1 reissues.
If they end up putting out a Titan-class Trypticon, I may be in trouble...I'll have to pick up 'plex as well. Especially if they end up being compatible with the Combiner leaders.

Please don't think I'm not delighted to see the Generations line continuing, because I am; I'm thrilled. It's the line Hasbro has been trying to produce since 2007 when it first tried the Classics, but they've never quite been able to get it right. This iteration of Generations toys however seems to have gotten the formula pretty close -- it's just been Hasbro's delivery of them that's left a lot to be desired

Is it just me or are all these new toys very weapons-heavy? There's guns all over the place, and it's fantastic!

Personally, I'm actually not too thrilled with what we got to see from botcon.

All the AOE reveals sucked (why aren't there generations versions of Rollbar, Steeljaw, Junkheap and the Vehicon that actually are their own moulds?)

The 2 Leader Megatrons look very simple and ugly, I was really hoping for something more like IDW Megs. my opinion may warm to him but for now he's gone from insta-buy to we'll see....

Chromia looks very nice, although it's a little depressing she isn't an entirely new mould. I really hope that her cockpit can be removed to be held as a shield.

New Optimus looks... weird. like it looks like a simplified smaller figure that just got upscaled. I'm hoping it will look better when we get to see more pics of it but for now it looks like a joke.

The new legends are... ok. Bombshell looks decent enough, Powerglide looks ok but since we already had the universe 2.0 giant powerglide and the DOTM Commander Powerglide I don't see why we really needed this one. Windcharger looks strange as a repaint of the very IDW Tailgate, in my opinion that mould only works as Tailgate, and Windcharger should have just stuck to it's Scout figure from a few years back. the other repaints are meh and expected

Arcee is probably the thing I am most upset about... when I look at the pics of her. she just looks TERRIBLE, so much backpack, weird robot proportions, ugly vehicle mode that doesn't even look like anything, it's SOOOO G1. to me it just looks like they took an unfinished scrapped design for an actual G1 Arcee figure from back in the 80's and just added some extra articulation to it. it is the Arcee that all the G1 fans have been waiting almost 30 years for, but I am not one of those fans. Don't get me wrong I am super happy for everyone who is in love with this figure, but it doesn't appeal to me, I was hoping for one of her various IDW designs

Brainstorm is the saving grace, when I heard he was "very G1" and a headmaster I got worried I'd hate him, but seeing pics he looks AMAZING!! Nice big voyager, looks similar to his IDW design, the headmaster looks like an actual head and has articulation in the neck. even if his transformation looks pretty simple I still think he looks awesome.

The theme for next year being combiners fills me with anticipation, dread and sadness.
the prospect of getting more official combiners is awesome, because if there is anything better than giant robots, it's giant robots that combine with other giant robots to make an even giant-er robot
but it saddens me that Combiners are the main theme of next year since it means we probably won't be seeing any new Beast Wars characters
and based on some of Hasbro's previous combiners (PCC, FOC Bruticus) I am nervous and filled with dread at the thought that this could be a year full of ugly incomplete feeling figures that combine into lanky messes of giant robots that just don't look impressive.....

hopefully when we get more info from SDCC and when we see some of the figures for RID2015 (assuming they make Generations versions of them) there will be more things I like

'Thrilling 30th' is now worthy of that name.

Finally, an official G1 inspired Arcee toy. The altmode is perfect and my only complaint about the bot mode is the amount of back kibble (given this is at the deluxe price point, that's forgivable). It seems that the stock photo bot mode is mis-transformed as the actual display toy has part of the back kibble folded up to make it less visible.

Generations Brainstorm looks great in both modes. As a few people already noted on this thread, while its transformation is simple (and looks to be identical to the original toy's transformation), the bot mode is highly poseable and is inspired his IDW incarnation, the jet mode is sleek...and it has the headmaster gimmick!!

Please Hasbro/Tomy, give us more Generations Headmasters toys!

Voyager OP - what were they thinking ...

everything is a must buy EXCEPT that fat prime. I could tolerate YOTS Optimus cos he combined with YOTS Omega supreme but this new fat prime is a pass for me.

I hope these toys get delayed, wallet is becoming anorexic!

Perhaps Hasbro's mandate for 'simplified transformations' has unfortunately (for older fans) filtered through to lines outside of the Movies. As much as they're (generally) paying homage to G1 characters, we mustn't forget that these are children's toys.

Exactly my thoughts dude, I knew if I looked through the thread you'd of said it.

There is something to be said in leaving the BEST, i.e. Beast Wars , for last - in the case of the Generations line.

    Oh - F***!!!

I'd never even considered Magnaboss or Tripredacus! - Hell, even RiD Railracer could get a look in!

Straxus/Darkmount & Black Shadow/Sky Shadow are exceptions to that rule dude, not to mention Junkion Junkheap - It could do them well to have a mixture of old & newer combiners, breaks up the line a bit, besides there's always the Tripledacus & Magnaboss II repaint potentials!

That said, if this leads to a proper Piranhacon, Abominus & Monstructor? - I'll accept them in-lieu.
