Default Now Transformers Animated is on TV are the toys flying off the shelves?

now that its on cheese tv or whatever, does that mean animated figures are going to be even harder to find? now its not just transformers fans but also kids who want toys of their favourite characters buying these guys up. I just hope stores ordered enough stock this time around.

I'm guessing the increased exposure to kids will definitely see the first wave of figures disappear alot faster (since they're focussed upon heavily in the first season).

Stores near me seem to have a bunch of Lockdown's, Prowl's & Bulkhead's - maybe the fact that these aren't "Movie Character Names" has meant that kids/Mums have been unfamiliar/hesitant to buy them?

At Hobbyco they've still got loads of Cyb. Megatrons and Bulkheads, while there are no Starscreams. While it might not be the best place to use to gage Animated's popularity with kids, I think it shows who's going to shelfwarm and who isn't.

Other shops have loads of Movie figures left and few Animated figures. My fear that the Movie toys would all be gone was clearly unfounded.

Activators seem to sell very well, as do the deluxes, Voyager Starscream also seems to be very thin on shelves as well.

I think the "movie" named figures are selling better due to their exposure in the movie, thats the only reason I can think of as to why there are more Prowl than Bumblebee figures on shelves.

Lockdown does seem to be the shelf warmer of the moment, not really a surprise since he is only in a couple of episodes in the first 2 seasons total.

Which Activators have been released locally? I have only seen Starscream, Bumblebee and Bulkhead.

Yeah Kup, those are the 3 from wave 1 that is out at Kmart, haven't seen any others yet.

*sign* its always the case isn't it, movie comes out, all movie toys gone, cartoon comes out all cartoon toys gone.

Then again I saw parents today still buying Ben 10 stuff for their kids, which is seemingly the "in" thing for the moment.

IMHO Ben 10 is better written than Animated.

And having a kids cartoon that is not based off a card game or some kind of competitive battling game is a nice change too.

I think only wave 1 of the Activators have been released anywhere as yet.
