Hasbro should just throw in the towel and start marketing their figures as transforming model kits that you can put together and paint yourself. The number of figures that lack coloured detail and you can simply pull apart lends itself greatly to this.

Good question, haven't tried it yet. I'll have a go tomorrow and post some pics.

That would be a great idea. And would significantly save in masking, detail brushing etc.
