I only bought the max as I only can afford one. For me, it was Max colours that really made it "I want".

The black/grey version is nice but does not light up my display case after all, I have mostly dull whites and grey fighter planes it was time for a blue one.

Is the vf-22 transformation easy? I just don't want to break anything like my vf-0s

it was gone pretty fast the black one.... the vf22 is hard to transform ...especially back into fighter again..the way they make the plane so flat is amazing ... look at the gaps of your bottom piece first to see how they line up so you remember it ok to leave that gap there after transformation back .... cause getting it line up again is a pain... the plastic is good but you still have to be careful like all yamato figures you might get stress marks along the tabs etc...

It looks great, but I suspect it would only really work under diffused lighting conditions - any hard shadows or reflections would make it look strange.

It's a custom kit, not an upcoming product.

I can't wait to get the YF30...it looking good... ... i been customising a few dx figures lately...super parts for the VF171 ..painted the missile pack red to match the alto scheme as it was dark blue which i reckon didn't match the white and red scheme on the vf171ex at all , And also repainted the super parts for the yf29 from the 30th for my red alto , because i refuse to pay around $160 for the alto super parts !I left yellow strips in , to make it a little different but also link to the other yellow bit of the figure , painted the red strips and highlights on the shield as well .... im also in the process of repainting an old spare RVF25 into a custom YF25 prophecy ... If i know now i wouldn't have done starting with a rvf25 as a base ,i have to re-coat the whole figure in so many coats of white it not funny!

I had no luck on my Alto armour and escalated a claim. Meanwhile Amiami's armour was sold, sigh.....
