The $400 resell price tag is not unusual. That's basically double the price of retail. It depends on how limited and popular the sneaker is. The old suppply & demand thing.

I know but I have the space jam release and I paid $330 for that to get delivered to me from online site. But $400 plus cost to meet the person etc.

We always seem to justify why it's expensive here when we can always go somewhere online to get these things for more than retail but less for scalpers/re-sellers.

Just knocked off work. Rang Footlocker Swanston St and the guy on the other end of the phone said there are around 40+ people lining up. I GIVE UP!

Megatran, I passed by George St on my way home (and was planning to head back in around 8pm) and they're all sold out.

The frustrating part was I can _tell_ that at least half the people lined up are just doing to so resell. I want a pair to wear but I'm not paying what's likely to be $500-600 to one of these guys.

That is frustrating. Give it 24-48 hours & they'll pop up on eBay.
