    Nice!

Although G1 Prime is a Freightliner FLB not a Volvo. And Mel's one is wrong too as that's a Peterbuilt. Huffer is a Volvo FH16 though.

    Freightliner FLB (Optimus Prime)

    Volvo FH16 (Huffer)

I think there's plenty of conjecture when it comes to G1 Prime's alt mode. The pic you posted for example, doesn't have as clear a split down the windows as Prime does.

I think this 1972 Peterbilt 352 is closer, although it's obviously not perfect (smoke stacks, length to the back wheels)

I personally think Prime was probably a mishmash of models and ultimately ends up looking pretty generic. It would definitely be a question i'd like to ask the original designers though!

Ginrai (PM Prime*) / Freightliner / original Optimus Prime**

English languageWikipedia states G1 Prime's alt mode as "Freightliner Cab-over-engine Class 8 tractor (Later forms have usually been variants of the original)" Japanese language wikipedia states that Convoy's alt mode cab is a Freightliner COE: "トレーラーのキャブ部分(モチーフはフレイトライナーCOE)に変形する本体."

Ono Koujin is currently still an employee of Takara but he's no longer actively working with Transformers. I can't be bothered calling Takara to ask this question... you can if you want.

*obviously Ginrai and PM Prime have the same alt mode vehicle type.
**that pic's possibly a Hasbro reissue judging from the lack of visible smoke stacks

Those most recent photos you've posted are much more convincing than the first ones

For those of you who may not know, turtle_boy works with trucks so I consider him our resident expert on the subject matter.

This thread is great! Awesome pics JuzMel.

That Porche painted up like Jazz is sweet!

If I ever win lotto, I'm buying a frieghtliner and customising it to be a 'real' prime. G1 Prime as the Plates, and I'd use it as my everyday ride. Even if its to the corner shop to get some milk!
