While I personally enjoyed the challenge of the more complicated Generations and Movie toys over the years, I have to say that this is the definition of a perfect transformers toy.

It's simple enough that both my boys could transform it without assistance, but not so simple as to be boring, it's poseable enough to be fun but not weakened by having too many joints. It's recognisable as G1 Megatron, so it'll set off nostalgia for a lot of grown-ups, making them buy it for their kids, who will then have a sneaky play with it once the kids are in bed.

It's great that there's still the MP line and 3P for the high-end TF market, but I think if Hasbro keeps making toys at this level of complexity (likewise the rest of the combiner wars line) they'll keep the brand relevant for a lot longer.
