I am really looking forward to Tracks, only Autobot car I want more is Jazz. Its just a pity that we have to wait until the 3rd quarter this year at least to get in on this Tracks goodness.

I am yet to personally transform that toy but it sets out to achieve some pretty impressive things and from all accounts apart from some structural issues and being fiddly it does a good job.

and if it was really that crap it wouldn't be selling on eBay for $320+$60 shipping still so many years after the fact.

I still regret skipping out on the 2nd Takara run when it was released.

Like I said, its in my want list, I cant be stuffed about what accuracy is it. Is just one more to cross off my list. Left Hound, Mirage, Jazz, ironhide and ratchet and I am done. Anything else is only a consideration.

Only the Diaclone cars? What about Windcharger, Gears, Cliffjumper etc?
Which brings us to where we are today...

My thoughts echo most by the looks of it - he looks a tad skinnier than i expected, and the wings a little too big, missiles too small, so he comes across a bit too stylised. Reminds me a little of God Ginrai and certain Gundam. I'm thinking the wings can probably be adjusted lower and they're only big so that his flying car mode doesn't look so silly.

I trust that the car will be dead on accurate to the model in the end (the picture is probably warping dimensions) so if he ends up a little skinny in robot mode, i doubt there's much that could be done.

The attention to detail is slavish again though, they've got a special piece to give the side of his waist the right shape, shin details are spot on, leg wheels at the back, upper shoulders are trapezoid etc. I also appreciate the flipping chest logo too, and the gaps won't be as obvious as Bumblebee, thanks to the darker blue. Will definitely be the definitive version once it's coloured!

edit: throwing my digibash into the mix!

    ^

    Looks great!!!

I am so happy for this MP release... Sure there could have been other characters that could have been MP-25 but we got Tracks and I am rather excited.

If they are continuing the licenced vehicle trend then the final proportions will be dictated by that. No car manufacturer grants a licence for something to look "almost" like their product.

Hope you don't mind me using it - I attempted (using Photoshop) to compensate for the curve of the document in the original photo. It might be a bit to narrow on the horizontal axis (and thus too skinny) but hey, figured someone might get an idea of it.
