Default Universe Powerglide - G1 Repaint - WIP

    Hi guys,

Been working on a repaint for Powerglide now that we have a good base to work from. The aim is to detail some of the G1 homage ie: the Exclaimation mark in the stomach area and the colour scheme to match. This is a WIP and still waiting for the paint to dry.

I will post Alt mode once the paint is dried.

    Hope you guys like it.

I have tried to follow the colour scheme of G1 toon.

    Thanks,

    kelvinchang99

Gobsmacking. Inspires me to do my own repaints but I'm not very good with the brush especially with the finer details. I like the white to red ratio and honours the G1 version accurately.

Thanks for the comments guys. Really appreciate it.

Really think this should be have been close to what Hasbro should've released, instead of waiting for Henkei, I thought I would do my own.

    Blackie, thank you.

Pulse, yes, I was informed by other customisers to use spray paint. I am traditionally a hand painter myself.. I think you can achieve the smoothness with care in paint without having to rely on spray painting and this gives me control although it takes longer.

Stompy, you never know until you try. The universe is a great place to start as Hasbro gave us really good base to work from. As you can also see with what RumbleFrenzy did with their menasor too.

Thanks, the alt mode when I painted looked ever more G1. Will post pics of the alt mode as soon as it is dried properly.

Thanks for the comments so far.

Wow, and you told me this is hand painted, woooow! I wouldve ended up with a freakin messy figure had I attempted that. This is how the figure shouldve been released. A plane CAN be red I don't care what Hasbro's reason was!

Nice paint, did you paint around the lettering?
