Kuala Lumpur - TF/Computer/Electronics Shopping
Didn't really know where to put this, or it it will get any replies ..
Going to Singapore for a couple of weeks from the 22nd and thinking of taking the overnight train to KL. Wondering if anyone has a nice list of places that one could get to while in KL for Transformers, Computers (Parts etc) and Electronics (Blu Ray players and discs), DVDs, PS3 etc)
Are things cheaper in KL than Singapore? Looking around, prices for PS3s and computer parts seem to be on par with New Zealand.
Cheers

For KL I would recommend Mid-Valley Mall. It has several department stores, a Toys R Us and specialist collectable stores where you can get quite decently priced Japanese imports (approximately the cost of what you'd pay in Japan plus postage).

Electronics will be cheaper in Singapore, try Sim Lim Sqaure in Bugis for your PS3 and electonic parts, they are cheaper than in KL. Heeehee I may be Malaysian, but I have spent so much of my life in Singapore than I'm so "singaporean" now.
Not so sure about shopping for TFs though because I only started when I was here in OZ. But ask Iceburn for some specialty top shops he recommended the last time.

For Singapore, try out dat70dude's blog (he's the one who told me where to go at first too) - http://dat70sdude.blogspot.com/search?q=singapore
You can try the recommended list here too:

Note: Yahoo Auctions is no longer available
For KL, I can't really remember the shopping centre I went to but there are 2 main shops there that have reasonably good price. If you head down any Isetan or Metro departmental store... you should be able to get some latest toys at a reasonable price too.
I'll get back to you on one famous shop in KL too but it's quite a distance away.
Cheers
