As I said I do apologize, no offense was meant towards those helpful staff, the main issue was always those workers that stuffed a lot of us around and worked with the scalpers.

There's nothing any retail staff are allowed to do to stop scalpers of non-restricted items. We are not the toy police, we are just retail workers. It sucks to not be able to by item because a scalper bought all the stock, I have experienced that myself (great Bumblebee shortage of '07). But unless it's a restricted item like baby formula was till recently we have no authority to stop them.

Can a store manager put a limit on certain items? It would make sense on collectables such as these, particularly if availability is limited in the first place.

I don't see how you can blame Big W... it's not there fault there are scalpers. They probably didn't know it would be a wanted item, 'it's a kids toy'. I think it is kind of rude to insult staff from a store for other people's wrong doings.

I think you've misread my post... Nothing to do with scalpers but the frustrations faced when told late in the evening before the store closed that stock's not in and then being told first thing in the morning the day after that it's all sold out.
That was ridiculous... And it wasn't a phone call that I did but face to face conversations with staff.

But moving on and on. Lol... That's an awesome deal that KaRNiV8L PRiME just shared and I do hope some folks here can find a Devy at that price.

Had an opportunity to have a chat with a lady at my local Big W today after finding it as well as another two WA stores without Devastator, she advised that the train crash that happened a number of weeks ago just outside of Kalgoorlie is still affecting their incoming stock. As a result a number of sale items are still "in transit" and have no definitive arrival date. That said they are hopeful the pieces that are yet to arrive will indeed arrive for the sale.

With all that said for all you WA fans, all I can recommend is put your name down in advance for one or check your stores regularly

Big W Joondalup had their stock still in boxes (there seemed to be a mad scramble to stock shelves). I asked for one and they checked their list to make sure they had spares to sell. Request granted :-)

So, Santa will deliver two under the tree, one for me and one for my son.
