Never been a problem for the Transformers line. The Chinese think skeletons are really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really bad luck. Kinda like how some people here think 13 is unlucky, but the skeleton myth is so prevalent in China that media from the West or Japan will be modified for the Chinese audience. Good luck finding a skeleton in World of Warcraft in China.

If it is a sticker, it's not going to be a traditional one, probably some printing on a thin film which then bonds to the plastic.

They used what's called hydrographics. It's basically a printing technique on complex shape objects, I.e the fur texture is printed on. There's some texts on the bottom left corner of the hobby king magazine page about it.
