Potential Hasbro/Mattel merger?

I wonder how Disney would feel about this. Given Mattel recently lost the Disney Princess license to Hasbro, in part because Disney saw the Ever After High line as competition

Would the merged company be forced to dump EAH? Would they care, given the potentially monsterous size of their portfolio?

Without another competitor, Disney can't really say "We don't like what you're doing so we're taking our business elsewhere". Who are they going to go to, MGA?

I'm thinking about Matty Collector. While it would be interesting for Hasbro to introduce a comprehensive subscription service for TFs (maybe for MPs?), it would probably mean all of the crap people get from Matty Collector would be visited on TF fans. Further, while I would wish for MOTU figures to be available at retail in decent numbers at an affordable price point, it probably means we'd also see a popular character released as a variant in every single wave sold.
