    Default Takara QR Codes

I've noticed that Telstra have started using QR Codes in advertising. I think they are the first company in Australia to use them and have even set up their own website about it.

I've noticed these codes on the Encore boxes. I was wondering if anyone knows what scanning them does? I don't have a compatible phone to test, but I'm guessing just a link to a TakaraTomy TF website?

I've seen these QR codes around.. but haven't found the time how a mobile phone (and which kind) is going to recognise them!

Many Nokia's have integrated support for these. The last Nokia I had had one of these tags on every accessory (e.g. the USB cable, the power adapter, etc). I've also seen a few iPhone apps that can decode it and tested one, but it seemed the iPhone's camera was the weak link as I couldn't get a clear enough image of the tag for the software to decode it.

    that's fair enough...

For those interested in downloading a QR reader, go to http://www.mobile-barcodes.com/qr-code-software/

once you've downloaded it.. scan this!

ps. the i-nigma reader is fast!
