Goki: I can't believe you have listed Peter Davidson higher than Jon Pertwee
At least you have Tom Baker in the right spot

This is not to say that all the stories of the higher-ranked Doctors are brilliant or that all of the stories of the lower-ranked ones are stinkers. It's my overall impression of them.
My kids would be better judges of who is better amongst the Doctors in the new series (I don't watch it enough to judge).
* If this list included the Missing Adventures novels the 6th Doctor would most likely move up, but I have limited this to TV performances since this is the most accessible medium.
1. Jon Pertwee he is the king!!! introduced u.n.i.t, the master, sarah jane smith and he had a chase scene with the master and they didnt use crappy cars they had HOVERCRAFTS!! you just cant beat that
2. Tom Baker
3. David Tennant
4. William Hartnell
and the rest and dont care too much about
I dunno... Jon Pertwee always scared me. I think it's because I was first exposed to him when I watched Worzel Gummidge -- which scared the bejeebus out of me! I dunno why they thought a scarecrow would appeal to kids, cos in my eyes Worzel Gummidge looked like this! Can't sleep, scarecrow will eat me... Can't sleep, scarecrow will eat me...
So yeah, when I saw reruns of the Third Doctor, I just kept seeing that scary scarecrow!! Maybe I need to watch those eps again now that I'm a tad older.
For all his flashiness and bravado Pertwee still never made that huge an impression on me. I remember the books his doctor was in better than the episodes.
I dunno maybe If I went back and watched an ep I'd give him a higher spot, but still not in my top 3.
You grew up with Eccleston? Damn that makes me feel old!
Nostalgia's a big thing though... I grew up with Baker (and he was the longest running Doctor prior to Tennant) - so he's always been my fav. Baker is "my Doctor" and everytime I wear a scarf or eat a jelly baby, I secretly pretend that I'm the Doctor. ;D
I love the Dead Ringers spoofs of the Fourth Doctor:
The Doctor buying a wardrobe Tardis
Riding the Eurostar
Speed dating
Living with Cybermen
Here's some parodies of the Tenth Doctor:

The Doctor uses the anonymity of his new form to finally sleep with Rose (and not in slash fiction):

Is anyone else watching K-9 right now? (Sat 09:30) If so... thoughts?
I haven't seen much of it before, but it seems to be aimed at a younger audience than Doctor Who. It's also an Australian made series which I find interesting since the majority of Doctor Who series (and spin off series) are British made.
