Nope, he/they are meant to be season 3 characters.
At least we now know they are part of the Autobot elite guard. They are going to have to be some stellar characters for me to pick them up (unless later pics show these ones to be mistransformed), the alt mode is lazy, the combined Jet mode even worse, and while the combined robot mode seems interesting (like the Energon omega style merge) it still does not look all that great, especially with the lack of hands.
At least the colours are really nice, and somewhat different.

Yea, pretty lame all over, but the robot mode does look interesting, until you wonder where two legs and two arms (back kibble), go off to......
