I think you're right, and at that rate we now know how big the carrier mode is!
I'll update this when I'm needing help finding particular figures

Homage to that episode where the Autobots invaded Carbombiya maybe?

Broadsides aeriel mode still looks weird, but a vast improvement over the original. Always thought since his robot mode was so big and his aircraft carrier mode was so huge it would be cool if the aircraft mode was similar size so he could act as transport for the other Wreckers

If that's the case, I'm absolutely going to paint them the appropriate colours.

Only one I'm really keen on is Broadside (and maybe Hot Rod). I told myself I'd stop buying Transformers after collecting the main Headmasters cast (TR Chromedome, Highbrow, Weirdwolf, etc). But after reading up on Broadside, I feel a great deal of sympathy for the character (I like to support the underdogs/late-bloomers), plus, his toy looks really cool and interesting.

And one hell of a gargantuan jet mode!

It could just be my wild imagination, but to me, Broadside's jet mode vaguely reminds me of Dai Atlas's.

you're not, they are. I read on Seibertron that they took the CAD designs for the CW Aerialbots and shrunk them down

Only without a drill. Not sure if I trust Hasbro with retooling a toy with a drill anymore after what they did with Combiner Wars Nosecone.

Maybe Hasbro won't, but maybe there'll be some Japanese toy company who'll possibly do it. I forget the name but apparently they've done something similar to this before. If only I could remember their name, it begins with a T or something...

How embarrassing, I've just totally forgot! Gosh, I've sure got egg on my face.

    Tonka maybe?
