Interesting how they're promoting the toy as having 3 modes (３段変形する). I suspect that this may be contributing to the additional cost of the toy, as Tracks was the other MP Car who was above the standard price.

Little toy company has listed sunstreaker at $125.

I'm hyped about the figure, what he can do...but not the price, the third "mode" is nothing more than a car nod.

I wonder though, he has redeco potential in red and police car variants, any backstory for these diaclone variants or they just gonna straight repaint him up and serve him up?

I'm kinda hoping for something like roadrage, a retool to make them more interesting

Unlike the Sideswipe and Tracks Diaclone colours that got released with TF bios years before the MP releases, Sunstreaker's "lost mold" meant we never got them, so any new identities would be new (like Exhaust and Loudpedal).

I hope for a red version to be called Spin-Out and wouldn't mind if either was a female Autobot (although red redeco as female has already be done).

The closest "canonical" repaint of Sunstreaker are the headmaster clones in the earlier IDW books and I doubt TakTom would go down that path.

Sunstreaker never had red shoulders in the G1 cartoon and they're going for slavish 'toon accuracy.

Nonetheless, I was still hoping for it. I'm not complaining, and as you say there may be stickers.

Good price from LTC. I'll wait for hlj and take advantage of 20% off. Ltc have always been reliable for in stock items, but I'm wary of preordering there as it seems like it's a new thing for them. Untried, untested.

That looks a lot like a yellow spoiler again in that last photo!
The TTMall listing doesn't mention an extra piece in the set either... so pure voodoo transformation?
Or it could be an older photo added by mistake (like when Ramjet first went up with one and was taken down shortly after)

And retail is indeed 12000Y+tax here... damn. No mention of diecast, rubber tires or anything fancy, so it's all on the parts count i guess! It looks good but it better be for that price!
