It's believed that the next Generations toy line after TR is going to be Targetmaster oriented. So on the Hasbro side you will probably get the moulds Takara are releasing just a little late if that's correct.

The next line after Titans Return is "Power of the Primes", which implies a lot of Optimus'es, where did you hear that they'd be targetmasters, just wishful thinking of some collectors?

Here's a thread discussing potential gimmicks for PotP (rumours and speculation):

    Just wishful thinking.

Toys to life sounds like a better idea personally although what would make more sense (given the name) is a new accessory related gimmick where characters would bulk up to be leaders when a matrix is plugged into their chest...but that's my wishful thinking.

I just want something new, a fresh new gimmick to run with rather than rehashes

Given that the word 'Power' is in the title, maybe the figures will have LED weapons or parts (glowing eyes, fists, faction insignias, etc), kinda sorta like the G2 Laser Rods. That's my guess. Honestly, I have no idea.

Skylanders still works, though nintendo seems to have hit the sweet spot I believe...

As long as the gimmick is not necessary to the enjoyment of the toy I'm all for it

I'm still too far behind technologically my phone can't run most apps

So, now that we know what's basically in PotP (ie no Targetmaster guns in sight) anyone heard any other rumours about a Targetmaster gun set for the western market?
I'm still keen on having a full set but cant really be doubling up (as I now have the Hasbro versions of the guys that come with TM's) but even if I did it's still a bit much paying at least $15-20 extra for a little guy that turns into a gun.
And yet I'm still looking at the LG's and seeing if I could somehow justify paying extra money for figures I already have just to get guns that become little robots.
    Oh first world problems lol
