    MELBOURNE!

Yes according to the links below Melbourne will be getting a Nintendo store.

    How awesome.

I had always wondered what they had planned for the second level of that new EB on Swanston Street.

I wonder if it's some sort of joint venture with EB? Because the stairs that lead up to the second level are smack bang in the middle of that EB store. I also wonder about that Nintendo store selling games, direct competition and how much more direct can you get!

Well hopefully we'll get some neat merchandise and events going there.

Awesome. Bout time we got something like this.
I wonder what they going to set it up like. One of the articles said it was going to be a lounge like thing, that sounds interesting.

Hmm. I hope it's not a joint venture with EB. Otherwise it's really just EB with maintained demo kiosks and exclusives here and then.

I really hope they take over the entire store and kick EB off.

Ace news though! I just hope the events they hold are as good as the ones in NYC.

I wish I can go to Melbourne when it opens. Wonder if they'll have any exclusive items or figurines for the Aussie store.

Well the Nintendo Lounge opened last night.

You can read up about it and check out the pictures at these following links:

Disappointed that there's no neat Nintendo merchandise or special/exclusive items for sale, that's the one thing I was really hoping for. And being a joint venture with EB Games I'm sure the games and accessories are going to be RRP so I doubt I'll be doing my shopping there when you can get the games at a cheaper price elsewhere.

Looks like a fun place to kill time between classes and the odd Nintendo event would be neat but other than that it's just another store really.

I'll probably go check it out sometime next week.

Looks as if it is just a glorified demo kiosk. Kinda dissapointing. Let's hope the Club-Nintendo online points scheme have some good stuff to offer. Hopefully a lot of what the Japanese got in their points scheme makes it over to us.
