Oh yeah, the forwarder is going to charge GST. I just meant that Amazon JP has blocked us from buying direct from them (no shipping to AU addresses because of the GST laws), and the only way around that is using a forwarder.

Thanks for the help everyone but its up near $200 AUD for most of them which is more than I would like to pay for an MP car. Postage is a killer. I reckon I will just wait for a re-issue or one to come up in Aus.

He simply has a high retail price... I don't recall exactly how much I paid, but it was above $150 from HLJ.

Yeah, MP39's RRP is 12960JPY (approx. $163). Mine was about $150 too with preorder discount from HLJ.

Still, that RK one for $125 is actually below RRP. It is an expensive MP Car but that's because the level of engineering on this toy is nuts and, IMO, worth the price of admission.

At that exchange rate, MP-39 would have cost around A$115 with currency conversion fee of 5% included. The ¥810 shipping was around A$10 with currency conversion of 5% included.
