    Default 10 Year Challenge (of your Transfandom)

    Simple rules - post a recent photo of yourself with another photo of yourself from about 10 years before that photo. Each photo must contain:
    * You
    * Something Transformer related; either a toy or apparel etc.
    If the Transformer is obscured from view, please add something to point it out.
    e.g. in my 1997 photo there's a Rhinox Vs Shadow Panther inside that blue plastic bag as indicated in the pic.

    Now minimum is 10 years, so late 2010s to late 00s/early 10s. If you want to keep jumping back to the 90s and 80s as I have, then by all means please do so. How far back does your Transfandom go? Looking forward to seeing piccies!

    Sorry I can't do exactly 10 years between each pic as I literally have only 2 photos of me with TFs prior to around 2017.

    Awesome, thanks for sharing! It doesn't have to be precisely 10 years - just approximately a decade apart is fine.

    No worries Gok, happy to share. I wish I had more photos of myself with TFs when I was younger. Guess I never thought it would be a lifelong obsession - how stupid of me!

    Turns out I am up to this, just about

    Me at the ROTF opening night in 2009 (blurry terrible quality phone photo, I am wearing an autobot logo T shirt)


    Me in the Myers Perth toy department in 2018. I'm sure there's a Transformer in the background... somewhere.

    It was to do with an April Fools prank. Gok and I got some MIB G1 toys, put them on Kmart shelves, took a few pics and told everyone G1 toys were getting reissued in their original packaging. That shopping trolley pic was just for laughs though and not part of the prank.

    Funnily enough, our prank came true as there were vintage packaging G1 reissues announced only a couple months later.

    Yeah, it was pretty epic seeing pics of Devy box sets showing up in US Walmarts and comparing to our pics of vintage Devy box sets just a few months earlier.
