A really nice figure and the fact that he needs to combine doesn't compromise the figure in any way. Scrapmetal is also one of the biggest Deluxes in the line which is always a plus.

I certainly reflect the comments already made. It's a great solid figure all round. I was interested in the comfier aspect of him as all i wanted was a representation of the character. I then transformed him into his "claw mode." He only forms part of the hand (the other part being formed by Hightower) Suddenly i have a very strong urge to collect the rest of the constructions. This devastator is going to be a monster.

Scrapmetal really surprised me. I got him along with SS Shatter and SS Dropkick on the weekend and he was the one I was least looking forward to, yet ended up impressing me the most.
I know I'm not saying anything new here, but he feels solid, has a fun intuitive transformation and looks good in both modes. He technically is a partsformer, but that panel that goes on top of his vehicle mode isn't really necessary IMO. If you lost that panel or just chucked it in your parts bin, it wouldn't hurt the figure to not be there. Most importantly, Scrapmetal really feels like a Transformer as opposed to a shellformer, which has been all too common in Studio Series (yes I understand it is necessary for screen accuracy).
Definitely recommend picking him up even if you never intend on completing Devy, he is an excellent figure in his own right.
Looking to buy lucky draw Armada Prime and Diaclone Marlboor Wheeljack.

Surely that is a modified Combiner Wars Scavenger? Those hip ball joints look very familiar.

Only their motherboard can tell them apart.

I will echo everyone in here - this is a bloody fun figure.

This has been the only letdown of the Studio Series line to me.

Fortunately it seems confined to the Deluxe price point figures that turn into cars (save and except Stinger, who has a fun and unique transformation).

This guy really looks good especially in person, but i'm just wondering if all of the Scrap Metals' boxes are double taped? The other guys on this wave I found in Kmart were just single taped.

I only got this guy because I want to make Devastator, but he's surprisingly fun to mess with in his own right. I just wish he had a gun, or even just a flip-out barrel or muzzle on one arm, although he does have a 5mm port on his left forearm.

    Mine was double-taped.
