One odd occupant of the Nemesis from the G1 comics is G1 Nemesis Prime!

...this character was never named, but it is a black Optimus Prime who led the Decepticons' boarding attack on the Ark!

IMHO the G1 comics are a lot better than the cartoon. Far less campy and a lot more mature. They're doing a lot of reprints now. IDW are reprinting the Time Wars soon - that's a must-have for G1 fans IMO.
