Default Hasbro NY Toyfair live-streamed presentation

I believe that this was live-streamed through the Hasbro Pulse facebook page earlier today, and below are some mirrored images from the screenshots at the TFW link here (which is where the details are quoted from)...

The panel was presented by Ben Montano, John Warden, and Rachel Fleming, as well as a surprise appearance by Gregg Berger, voice actor for Grimlock in G1 and many other iterations. We got a good amount of information on the Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy: Siege Netflix animated series, Generations War for Cybertron Earthrise, Studio Series, and Transformers Cyberverse.

Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy: Seige

    • FJ De Santo from Rooster Teeth gave use some details on upcoming Netflix Animated series. He mentioned that the characters are based on their G1 iteration, but the show will challenge the viewers on what they know about these classic characters.
    • The story will be set in the final hour of the Cybertronian civil war, where Megatron is trying take the Allspark off the planet.
    • De Santo also mentioned that the character designs are derived from the CAD design files from the toy line, and their transformation in show will resemble the physical toy.
    • The show is handled by Polygon Pictures Studio, who worked on Transformers Prime and Transformers RID
    • A special Generations War for Cybertron line will be available through Walmart. Each Deluxe figure will come with one piece of Teletran 1. There are 10 in all, and you can complete Teletran 1 if you collect them all through out the year.
    • There are 2 Voyager release, Megatron and Hotlink, each will come with 2 battle master size figures. John Warden mentioned HotLink comes with the Firetwins
    • A Netflix special “Spoiler” box is announced. The box comes with one leader size figure, which contains spoilers from the show. John and Rachel caution from opening before watching the series, and joked about spoilers online.
    • Mentioned about the stories being told through various upcoming IDW comics series

Transformer Generations, War for Cybertron: Earthrise

    • Announced new factions that will be represented in this line, starting with the Mercenaries
    • First off, Deluxe Runamuck. Figure is a brand new mold, announcement for Runabout will be later in the year
    • Next up for Mercenaries, voyager class Snapdragon and leader class Doubledealer
    • Snapdragon as a triple changer will have a robot, jet, and kaiju mode. Double Dealer will have a base mode that is compatible with the Modulator system
    • The next faction represented are the Quintessons, including Quintesson Judge, Allicon, and Modulator Slither Fang
    • Quintesson Judge will feature the faces of darkness, and Slither Fang was designed by John Warden himself
    • Commander Class Sky Lynx is shown next, beside the traditional G1 modes, an extra mode that homages the Mircomaster Rocket Base is worked in. They also worked with NASA to work in details from space shuttles
    • Final product shown for Earthrise is Titan class Scorponok. John Warden mentioned extra attention to get the base mode to look like G1
    • New Generation Selects was announced. This time is a set of 4 Micromaster Spy Patrol. Two of them will be Skar and Knok that emulate the Powermasters that came with Double Dealer, as well as Rumble and Wingthing

    Transformers Bumblebee Cyberverse Adventures

    • A trailer for the upcoming season is shown, Bumblebee is called back to Cybertron by Optimus Prime
    • Wave 2 to 4 of Cyberverse Deluxe is shown, featuring Grimlock, Hot Rod, Arcee, and Thunderhowl.

    Transformers Studio Series

    • Deluxe Wave 3 is shown, including Soundwave (Satellite), Topspin, and Cliffjumper (from the Bumblebee movie).
    • Voyager Class wave 2 is next, with Scrapper, Sentinel Prime, Blitzwing (from the Bumblebee movie), and Skipjack.
    • Leader class Overload was shown next, which will be part of the 8 bot combiner movie Devastator. The full combiner will be present in the showroom
Note that they said 10 Netflix Deluxe toys are coming, but only reveal five of them, so there are probably more of the larger sized toys coming as well for that Walmart exclusive line (which I'm going to have to find out if we have a shot of getting them here).
Note that the Generations 4-pack Cassettes include a blue Frenzy/Rumble redeco, which they apparently called Rumble at the presentation and on the official images, despite the red one in the Siege 2-pack already being called Rumble. I think there are still two camps of designer-fans working at Hasbro who refuse to adopt a consistent naming protocol for Rumble and Frenzy - someone is clearly a Gen1 cartoon fan while someone else is clearly a Gen1 toy fan.

I haven't found the Cyberverse trailer yet (if it has been released), but here is the trailer for the Netflix cartoon...

Some of the screenshots that had interesting details on them...

I feel bad for how unenthused most of this has left me. I've not been as disapppinted in a TF unveiling in a while as I was with SS Blitzwing. All of these SS reveals look like faux part fake kibble nightmares.

Snapdragon looks good though and makes me regret passing on Apeface.
I'm really just here for the free food and open bar.

It's always good to get two versions of the event, if you aren't able to see it for yourself, as one may pick up on things that the other missed... like the correction of the name of the Cassette being Frenzy, despite the Hasbro Pulse pre-order page noting it as Rumble.
Although, the Hasbro Pulse product page actually notes that this set allows you to pair up Rumble and Frenzy, so it is most likely a mistake from the person who typed up that page...

This special edition Generations Selects WFC-GS10 Soundwave Spy Patrol (3rd Unit) 4-Pack is inspired by the G1 mini-cassettes. Decepticon Rumble, Decepticon Wingthing, Decepticon Skar and Autobot Knok alt modes fit inside the chests of WFC-S25 Soundwave and WFC-S55 Soundblaster figures (each sold separately, subject to availability).

With these figures, fans can add to their Soundwave Spy Patrol collection including WFC-S18 Ravage and Laserbeak and WFC-S46 Rumble and Ratbat (each sold separately, subject to availability). Unite Frenzy with WFC-S46 Rumble to complete the dynamic duo from the 80s. Now it’s up to you to decide which Decepticon is red or blue!
On to Seibertron's version of the presentation....

The panel is introduced by Gregg Berger as Grimlock (and as himself).

    Netflix Series

We see a sneak peek at the Netflix War for Cybertron trilogy from Rooster Teeth.

It is three parts and Siege takes place in the final hours of the Cybertronian civil war. This will be a military story, with incredible stakes and the bonds that form on the battlefield.

We see stills from the show where we can see Elita One and Bumblebee.
The character designs are taken from the CAD data of the toys, including their transformation.

The trailer is shown. We see Ultra Magnus, Optimus, basically everyone from the Siege line. They look the same as the Siege toys, as told. The animation does not seem as slow as the previous web series but still not smooth either.

We see the Siege rereleases in new decos that we saw earlier today. All will be sold at Walmart.

The Mirage we saw is a Deception disguise

Each figure comes with a piece of Teletran One and you have to collect all 10 figures to build it.

    IDW

The new series will get to number 25 and Orion will finally be called Optimus Prime

    Earthrise

This is about the journey to earth. A "story" never told before.

Most of the toys we saw in the leaks of the past 2 days are shown now.

Runumuk is shown first and Runabout will be revealed later this year.

Snapderagon and Double Dealer are part of the mercenaries fraction.

We do see Snapgradon's Kaiju mode. Doubledealer turns into a modular base as well.

    3 Quintessons revealed.

The Judge which can switch faces with a switch in the back. Comes with a throne which becomes a battle station. The whole figure becomes a playset. A micromaster can go inside the little cage.

Allicon is there and we see Slither Fang who is a cobra that turns into a shield and modular ramp.

Sky Lynx is shown. Has all his 4 modes plus a 5th mode as a bade and the NASA logo is on the shuttle mode. The shuttle is called "the magnificence"

Scorponok is shown, he will be in scale with Fort Max. Great poseability and double headmaster. G1 base will connect to Omega Supreme and all the other modulars from Earthrise.

    Generations Selects

This niche ecomm line was a success. There is a 4 pack cassette pack which will complete your cassettes and also give you Doubledealer's partners. Warden confirms the blue cassette is Frenzy.

    Cyberverse

We see deluxe Grimlock, Hot Rod, Arcee and Thunderhowl.

    Studio Series

    ROTF Soundwave with satellite mode

    Topspin

Cliffjumper with a nice cybertronian mode

    Scrapper

    Sentinel Prime

    Blitzwing (Bumblebee)

Skipkack for a movie accurate Devastator

    Overload

21 of the newly revealed toys were put up on the Hasbro Pulse website for pre-order, which have given us some details like approximate release dates..

Comes with Astroscope figure with a satellite mode) - US$80 - Sept 1st
WFC-E25 - Titan Scorponok (new - converts into Modular Battle Station mode in 39 steps then to scorpion mode in 33 steps. Includes 11 accessories) - US$160 - Sept 1st
WFC-E35 - Deluxe Decepticon Fasttrack (new - disassembles in 7 steps and reassembles into tank mode in 10 steps. Also converts into a staff that can be held by Titan Class figures) - US$20 - Nov 1st

WFC-E38 - Voyager Megatron (new - converts into classic G1 Cybertronian tank mode in 17 steps and comes with 2 weapon accessories) - US$30 - Nov 1st

Looks like Sky Lynx might be packed with a Micromaster like Omega Supreme was, as it is noted in it's product page, but hasn't been included in the official images (yet).
Fasttrack's product page says it disassembles to armour up other figures like previous city-formers bots (which I commented before that it didn't look like it does).

The product description for Earthrise toys to explain this series gimmick (to retailers) of the interlocking ramps (Battlemasters) and bases (larger figures)...
"Build the Battlefield Beyond -- The siege is over, but the War for Cybertron has just begun. The Autobots and Decepticons have left Cybertron, but their battle rages on as they speed through space in pursuit of the Allspark. Now, fighters must instantly adapt to battle anywhere in the cosmos. With the highly advanced A.I.R. (Adaptable Interconnection Retrofitter) Locks system, the fighters don’t head to the battlefield -- they become it. Bots capable of converting into Modular Battle Stations can A.I.R.-Lock together in custom configurations to fit the needs of battle."
"Every pack includes a piece of the Transformers Universe map and a red decoder to unlock the map's hidden paths! Collect other Earthrise figures to piece together the full map!"

    Generations Selects -
WFC-GS10 - Soundwave Spy Patrol (3rd Unit) 4-pack (Decepticon Frenzy, Decepticon Wingthing, Decepticon Skar and Autobot Knok - Convert into cassette-inspired Sonicsurge Drone Armor modes in 3-4 easy steps) - US$20 - May 1st

    Studio Series -
    SS-60 - TF2 Voyager Constructicon Scrapper (earthmover) - US$30 - May 1st
    SS-61 - TF3 Voyager Sentinel Prime (fire truck) - US$30 - May 1st
    SS-62 - TF2 Deluxe Soundwave (satellite) - US$20 - October 1st
    SS-63 - TF3 Deluxe Topspin (armed race car) - US$20 - October 1st
    SS-64 - TF6 Deluxe Cliffjumper (Cybertronian car) - US$20 - October 1st
    SS-65 - TF6 Voyager Blitzwing (fighter jet) - US$30 - October 1st
    SS-66 - TF2 Leader Constructicon Overload (large earthmover) - US$50 - October 1st
    SS-67 - TF2 Voyager Constructicon Skipjack (yellow Rampage) - US$30 - October 1st
(Blitzwing and Skipjack are both Voyagers listed for October but don't have consecutive numbers, which might mean they won't be released together, or they weren't originally planned to be)
There is a big gap between these two waves of Studio Series toys this year (plus the January wave that is currently being released in some countries already)... I wonder why they held back Overload until October, as it is going to be a painfully long wait to complete Devastator.

wew, thats a LOT of action happening in September....
Some biggies there too which I don't think is a wise move.
Scorps, Doubledealer AND Skylynx all at the same time. That equals much wallet pain.

I would assume that some of them are going to be delayed.

There's a big gap in the numbering, another 10 figures in there.

Some sources have reported Snapdragon as being a Leader class figure.

The gap is probably for some exclusives coming at that time of year, and November's smaller size class figures (they only listed Deluxe and higher as pre-orders).

I'd be guessing that those sources are mistaken, or got their info from a source that was mixed up. Since Apeface was a Voyager, I doubt they would have Snapdragon as a Leader... and that's the Hasbro Pulse order page charging a Voyager price of US$30, so if it was a Leader, they'd be losing $20 for each toy.

I was thinking the Siege exclusives have special numbers but no I was wrong.

There was an image that said Leader class and also spelt Dragon with an extra g (so several mistakes)

Ah okay... that wasn't one of the slides on the Presentation video, but might be something Hasbro had said before Toyfair would be revealed to their paid Pulse members.

The product description in the Hasbro Press Release materials also notes that it is a Voyager as well.
