Very, very, very last minute, but it's taken until today to confirm everything.

The Melbourne Toy, Hobby & Licensing Fair is at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, from Sunday March 1st to Wednesday March 4th.

Sunday midday, we should be having a meet up with Hasbro people, to show off some of the newly revealed items at New York Toyfair. (NOTE - a disclaimer like every year, if they are slammed with too many Retailers visiting their exhibit, they could cancel at the last minute... so be aware that this could just be a fan-meet.)

At the very least, I've been invited to cover their exhibit, and as usual, I will take as many Original version toys for comparisons, for a bit of fun.

So, if you are wanting to join us, post here to let us know the approximate numbers, and come to the Exhibition Centre anytime before Midday, somewhere around doors 2 to 4... and just talk among yourselves until I show up at around 11am or Hasbro show up at around midday. Then after midday, you can hang around for as long or as short as you want.

The actual Toyfair is inside the main rooms, that have restricted access, and this meet will NOT be inside there. We will only be staying in the main corridor that runs along the entire length of the building.

This is a map I used two years ago - IGNORE the "Meet Here" bit, unless you are there a lot before 11am, as there is seating there, near the doors that face the Crown Casino. There is a cafe near "door 3", but we can't have our meet there, as we aren't allowed to take up their tables for an extended period, since we don't end up buying enough stuff from them as a group to have them let us stay. The entrance to the Toyfair is usually door 4, so the cafe is just a point of reference.

This year we are opening up this fan-meet to anyone who is a member of Ozformers who wants to attend, mostly because it is so last-minute, but also because we aren't supposed to be having any world-first reveals this year, It will still be a condition of attendance to follow all directions or requirements of Hasbro on the Day, and to not damage or steal anything that they may bring to show off (and only touch items that they allow us to touch).

You can bring children if you want to (or need to), as it can always provide a bit of variation to the feedback and commentary.

Just make sure you post here first, so that we have an idea of numbers. This is in case we need to put a cap on numbers, because the convention centre is private property, and we aren't an official event, so we probably can't have too many people in a crowd to draw the attention of the building administrators, as they could kick us out before Hasbro even show up.
(it's unfortunately the drawback of needing to be close by for Hasbro to be able to attend and bring toys that are on display - if we had the meet somewhere public, we might be too far away for Hasbro to have time to attend if they are too busy)

For those unable to attend, look out for exhibit and fan-meet postings/photos this Sunday on our facebook page (first) and then on this site (later).
