Heh, nice try.
It should be "Neko wa kawaii" (猫は可愛い). The "no" particle is used for possessives, e.g.: "Neko no Enerugon Kyuubu" (猫のエネルゴンキューブ）= 'the cat's Energon Cubes' (^_^)
