Really stoked about this purchase as it was found at a clearance price at Hobbyco. This set originally retailed at $149 back when it was released and even online now, its $120 minimum shipped. So $89 was a pretty good price methinks. Took me 3 and half hours to complete but it was worth it. Once I get my other sets, I'm going to set up a battle scene with all the mechs. Wifey won't be impressed when I tell her I'm going to use the coffee table in the living room for this though......

My Lego binge has started!



The Sith Infiltrator is one of my favourite SWs molds. Loved the SWTF version of it and have always liked the curvy yet pointy balance of the design. I scooped this up for $35 last week! Basically the box was damaged a bit in one corner and I went and looked for the manager to see if they'd lower the price on top of the 20% discount. As I found the manager, someone knocked down a pile of toys next to her. I went over and helped her pick it up and as I helped i just started talking casually to her. As we finished and she thanked me, I asked her if she could do me a favour. I showed her the SW box and then she paused for a moment and then said alright. We went to the one of the lines and she told the guy at counter to change it to $35 for me!

And then as luck would have it on Friday when I was at a BigW, I found that they had the Sith Infiltrator too. So I bought that one and then returned the damaged box so I have a nice looking box too now!

Exo-Force Aero Booster I scooped up for $32 as the American deal I had lined up fell through. The two little ones are from an older wave so I just picked them up straight away since the odds of them still being on the shelves by the time K-Mart or Target have a sale are close to zilch. They were only $8.

Going to build the Aero Booster tonight.

I may go have to go back and grab the Devastator and Striking Venom now since they're at such great prices. Having a look on eBay, if I wait till next month when I'm a bit better cash wise, it'll cost me a lot more plus shipping so I guess a little bit of pain now for a bigger gain later.
