    Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Gok!

Good thing you're not a MISB collector.
Which brings us to where we are today...

Congratulations Gok. Never a finer moment in life than when one becomes a father for the first time.
Beautiful name too. 'Blessing' or 'snow'. Is that correct?

Thank you. It depends on the Kanji. When written as 雪 then "yuki" does indeed mean 'snow.' But the one for my daughter's name is 愉希 - "yu" means 'joy' and "ki" means 'rare' so I guess it could be translated as "rare joy." This "ki" is also used in the word "kibou" (希望) which means "hope," so I like to translate the name as "joyful hope."

But "rare joy" might be a more accurate translation, as she just totally randomly cries and stops for no apparent reason, so moments of quiet tranquility are quickly becoming a rarity!! She's only a day old and she's already mastered the art of emotional blackmail - wailing relentlessly until she gets a cuddle! Our Kung Fu is weak! (not hard when I'll take any excuse to hug her lots)
