The morbid bastard in me has a fascination with the Cold War period, especially when it comes to the USA and USSR's nuclear arsenals, and subsequently the doctrine of deterrence and mutually-assured destruction. It's been an ongoing interest for the last five years, and I finally decided to buy The Day After to see what the big deal is. Nuclear war movie focusing on the aftermath, hence the title.

A 30 dollar gift voucher for EB. Now I can pay the same price for a game that everywhere else has it for normally, after using the voucher! But actually it works out well, Tales of Vesperia preorders get $20 off retail and I'll be saving some serious cash in the long run. And it was a thoughtful gift.

Check out 'Threads', much traumatic (partly Aussie production too). Not for the squeamish tho.

Got myself the set of four Kuji Club exclusive Gurren Lagann mechas the other day.

Not really sure exactly what Kuji Club is, I believe it's some sort of Japanese prize raffle lucky draw thing. There's a few other Kuji Club Gurren Lagann items that you can get. I passed up on the set of four super deformed characters and I'm not a statue collector.

I haven't popped them open as you can see, they have swivel joint articulation and each one has a piece for a build a figure Lagann.
