Default Yolopark licensed electronic action figure Optimus from Bumblebee Movie

Another expensive fancy licensed Movie figure has been shown off, with this 60cm articulated Optimus Prime from the Bumblebee Movie.

It has an internal gearing system, apparently giving it 333 points of articulation. There will also be a deluxe version that has even more features.
Pre-orders begin in July at their website, but might not be available for us in Australia (directly).
Prices won't be announced until the day before pre-orders open up, so it must be expensive, to not give people too much time to debate the value before worrying about missing out if they don't order it.

    And the prices are out....

    Regular version (2000 produced) - US$2199 (almost AU$3400)
    Deluxe version (500 produced) - US$2599 (almost AU$4000)

Each one requires a US$300-350 *non-refundable* deposit, but if you pre-order early, you get US$200 back as a rebate and a bonus item.

I can imagine some of these ending up in businesses for promotions or display (which can be a tax-deduction), but any fans buying these (and similarly priced statues) have way too much money to spend.
(I know I spend too much money on the actual toys, but at least they give me better play time/value for my money.)
