Default Burger pies (inspired by griffin)

Inspired by griffin's burger pie. Last Sunday, me and a handful of friends decided to give it a go.

We used McDonald's double beef and cheeseburgers.

We didn't use a bowl to form a pie shape, we just free formed them. Don't know if you could really call them pies ... burger pastries, burger pasties perhaps?

They tasted pretty awesome. Thumbs up to griffin for the killer idea.

We also saw these in the supermarket earlier that night when we were doing food shopping. Impulse novelty buy. They weren't great and they didn't look like the pictures on the box.

As a lover of Mcdonalds double cheeseburgers, I find the idea of burger pastries ingenius. And those pics actually made me drool. Here's an idea - combine deep fried mozzarella with the burger pastries! *Homer drool*
