This month should see the first issue of the new Beast Wars comic, with a completely new character on the Maximal team called Nyx (looks like a bat head on the chest, so maybe it's Nightscream?).
Also another 84 comic compilation, this time with issue 0 included with reprints of the original Marvel 80s comics issue #1 and #33-34 (Man of Iron from Marvel UK), from which some elements of the 84 series are drawn from.

I feel like Nyx is a use of the Bat Primal toy - name linked to it's use as Onyx Primal

That could be it... if they plan to use the character's disputed allegiance as a plot element in this comic. (the 1996 Onyx Primal toy was a Predacon, then it was later a Maximal when used in 3H comics, then IDW's BW source book had it as a Predacon again)

Just noting... Amazon is only listing a digital format for the "companion" book to the Transformers '84 TPB, which has included a number of older issues that must be the material that this mini-series draws on. (I haven't read it yet, or looked at the previews in case it spoils something for me)
There might not be a physical copy of the 100 page companion book, but since it isn't expected to have any new material, comic collectors might not be upset about missing it.
