Default Toy Review - Optimus Prime (Kingdom)

    Series - Generations
Sub-line - War For Cybertron Trilogy
    Hypo-line - Kingdom
    Size/class - Core
    New/remould/redeco - New
    Wave - 1
Released here - ordered online, assuming an early 2021 release locally
    Approximate Retail Price - $20
    Approximate Size - 9cm
    Allegiance - Autobot
    Alt-mode - truck
    Main Features/Gimmicks - N/A
Main Colours - red, blue, silver
    Main Accessories - gun

Not a lot to say, this toy is a Prime for legend scale play and displays. In robot mode they've captured the aesthetic of Earthrise Prime really well.

Has a good range of articulation for this size class. Also featured (but not pictured) is a flight stand port at the back so you can get it into some airborne poses if you want.

Transformation to truck mode is intuitive as you'd expect. The truck mode itself is okay. I mean it's clearly a truck but I think the robot mode is where this toy shines.

It has an "attack mode" of sorts by plugging the gun into the side of the truck. Unfortunately it doesn't hold in too well, at least on my copy. The gun can also be stored on the back of the truck.

Overall a decent Prime. Not something I'd say you must go out and buy, but he's good for a bit of fun especially if your collection leans toward smaller scale stuff.
Looking to buy lucky draw Armada Prime and Diaclone Marlboor Wheeljack.

Looking at my Earthrise Prime and comparing to your photos - the Core class is rather short and small isn’t it! Your photos make me think the bigger Prime actually is “leader class” in the old definition.

Yeah, I'm happy to do some comparisons with other small scale TFs from previous lines. I'll also do some 3P legend comparisons and chuck those pics in the relevant part of the board for anyone who's into those.

All my smallest bots are packed away. I get the impression though this and Rattrap are more like PoTP Slash than say Beachcomber?

Here's a screencap from NoriMovingPictures Review

Might give a better sense of how small he is. He gets compared to a bunch of other figures in the review as well.

The most useful one for me was the comparison with Thrilling 30 Legends Prime.

He is slightly shorter, but appears to have similar bulk - so remains generally consistent with previous Legends, but not as blocky as Beachcomber, Seaspray, Brawn etc.

Here is core class Prime with various "legend" and small scale toys I own. A 3P comparison can be found here

He's small and slender - but the amount of detail on the mold creates an illusion he should be bigger than he is

Wasn't keen on this guy but I saw him in person and really liked! Only thing is that mine the hips don't tab in properly, which makes posing a bit more painful than it should be.
