He's still executive producer, so he still has a lot of say and power over the films since he directed them.
I think they can be called either... but if they are still intending to do some other movies that aren't part of the Universe that Bay started and he isn't involved in their production, then I think it could probably be called something else at that time.

Good point about "bayverse" - not something I had even thought about, just force of habit - likely to be "Live action" next year.
