New movie's coming out so they're basing it on how it appears in that, also heard that it's somewhat based on Ghostbusters packaging.

It's a slightly different figure - includes an extra ghost, a different robot head, the ladder's on the other side and a different paint job to match the new movie (rusty/faded)

True but this one also has the comic which wouldn't fit in the other style packaging anyway.

I'm actually thinking about picking up the original Ecto-1. There are still places with the original one in stock.
