Words of warning to potential MP-2 buyers

What the... I didn't know that TakaraTOMY had reissued Ultra Magnus. There's no mention of a MP Magnus reissue on:

TakaraTOMY's Official Masterpiece page
TFwiki
TFU.info

MP Magnus was released in 2005 well before the Takara merger with TOMY and only features the Takara logo like this:


I suspect that either:
1/ This toy is a KO.
2/ It's a very new reissue (because TakaraTOMY's MP page has MP Thundercracker there, yet no mention of a reissue Magnus) and it seems that Tomy might've dropped the ball with QC on the reissue with your figure.

Gok, this is a new TakaraTomy reissue that just hit the streets in the last few days. The ones from RK were from Hasbro HK, who ordered them from TT.

Okay, thanks. Then yeah, it seems that #2 is true then. I'd recommend giving feedback to TakaraTOMY about this product if you're that disappointed with it. I'm still thinking about whether or not I should bother translating their online customer feedback pages as a few people have said that it would be a waste of time. *shrug*

Well I would be interested in letting them know how disappointed I am with them but yessum, I don't speak Japanese. As I said earlier I'll contact RK later and see if they're happy to send a replacement. They probably won't be, and there's no guarantee that it'll be any better even if they do.

I have translated their customer feedback page to English - it can be found on the Sticky here There are some other generic feedback pages on TakaraTOMY's site where you can be more specific about your concerns which I've yet to translate... but that link should give you access to their Transformers feedback form.

The translations I did was based on the Encore Ironhide/Ratchet JAN code. If you have a different set of questions then please do a screen capture and post them on the sticky and I will translate them for you.

Sorry to hear about that Adzma . I was heistant to get the reissue partly because of fiscal reasons but moreso I was worried about the quality control issues since the MP-04 debacle.

I've nearly changed my mind and was going to order one but seeing your post made me re-think that idea.

But RK don't manufacture the toy... what are you expecting them to do about it? I think you're better off leaving feedback to TakaraTOMY (see sticky).
