Default Toy Review - JHIAXUS (Legacy)

    GEE, AXE US (Liege Centuro)
    Series - Generations
    Sub-line - Legacy
    Size/class - Voyager
    New/remould/redeco - New
    Wave - 2
    Released here - July 2022
    Approximate Retail Price - $50
Approximate Size - 13cm to top of head; shoulder pylon height may vary depending on configuration
    Allegiance - Decepticon (Cybertronian Empire)
    Alt-mode - Cybertronian jet
Main Features/Gimmicks - weapons can combine
Main Colours - white, yellow, green, red
    Main Accessories - x2 guns

    THOUGHTS

Super excited to finally have a G2-accurate Jhiaxus toy! Yaaay! Well, accurate in robot mode anyway. The jet mode is definitely based on the G2 alt mode but is technically not entirely accurate. But this would be because Jhiaxus' original alt mode just looks quite silly and is difficult to do on a non-MP budget. Legacy Jhiaxus' jet mode looks somewhat more like an actual jet instead of a winged stasis pod. I personally think that Legacy Jhiaxus' jet mode is an improvement over the original design. I also like how the toy has fists with fingers that can open but still hold into his guns really well (similar to Earthrise Optimus Prime's hands, only beefier). I do wish that the shoulders had a bit more articulation, especially in being able to raise his arms up sideways. But otherwise it's fine. The transformation is relatively simple but elegant. Recommended.

Well this comic hasn't aged well (yeah I get Jhaxius had toys before, but none were based off his G2 apperance)
I'll update this when I'm needing help finding particular figures

    Fantastic toy!

They've really used the Voyager level engineering well. He's poseable, the jet mode looks _better_ than the original source (which was a flying box, really), and finally we have a G2 Jhiaxus. He also manages to make the awkward white and yellow combo look good!

Pic/s request: this guy with Generations Darkmount/Straxus, Impactor, and legends-class Scrounge. Basically the 'comic-book characters who later got (official) toys' cast. TYVM.

I forget if there were any/many others - Nautica I guess, but she's kind of more recent.

    Whos the orange guy?

Flight mode is a bit bricky with an undercarriage. Lovin bot mode though. Dont get many bots in this colour scheme and it works well.

The colour scheme is weird and very hamburger-esque...

Yeah it is odd. See my above comment re white and yellow. But... that's the colour scheme Jhiaxus sported when he was introduced to us in the G2 comic.

    Here you go
I don't own Nautica though, but anyone else who does have one are free to post piccies of that or any other comic book TF on that thread.

I cannot wait to get this guy!

    Looks phenomenal.

Only concern is I can see him being reused as Thunderwing... and I think Thunderwing deserves better.
