Clampdown is a gorgeous redeco of ER Red Alert and is, IMO, the best of the Velocitron set. Hasbro has done really well in adding a sufficient amount of police markings on this toy; it seems that they've learnt their lesson after dropping the ball on Cordon's deco (or lack thereof). Clampdown even has three police shield tampos on the sides and bonnet/chest; all of which have "CYBERTRON" printed on them, which is accurate to the original eHobby toy's stickers (which in turn had that text replacing "DIACLONE" on the OG figure). The light grey on the mid and forearms approximates the chrome on the OG/G1 toy, and is also present on the thighs. The white hands are a new thing, which, together with the inaccurate black feet, help to make Clampdown look different from the other WFC Lambros (although Tiger Track also has black feet for the same reason). Unlike the bright lolly green on Hauler, you can at least understand the reasons behind the colour change (whether or not you agree with these changes is a matter of personal taste).

Overall a fantastic redeco that finally complements Deep Cover! <3

I love this toy. Sure, there's some changes to the colour palette compared to both the eHobby and the MP... but the colour scheme is balance and it's undoubtedly Clampdown.

Sure, there's eleventy bajillion versions of this mould since Siege Sideswipe first came out... but this is easily the best of the lot, for me. All the accessories; no black outbursts on the car mode (or blue in Deep Cover's case); no stupid silver paint splatter.

    Eagerly waiting for Masterpiece Meister
