    Default Perth's Quality Comics closing/selling

Received this news about a week ago. Been a regular customer for more than 10 years so I have some mixed feelings. They haven't been what they used to be for a few years now, after the original owner left, then the manager. (Shane McCarthy used to be an old staff there too.) The old shop has seen a couple of new owners come and go (some nice, some not so nice) but the staff still served me very well and I have always been a happy customer there. About a year ago, the old owner and manager opened a new shop together. The two were very very nice people and I thought about switching to the new shop from time to time, but never ended up doing it. Really wanted to support the new shop but I also felt crappy leaving the old shop. Now comes the news and it is sad to see the old shop go. Personally I see this as the time for myself to stop collecting comics for a while. Over the years this "hobby" has grown out of hand and I think I really have accumulated waaay too many hobbies. Anyway, best wishes for the current owner and staff. I hope they manage to find a buyer soon.

I've seen how many comics you buy Kyle, you could fund a small nation with what you spend on them.

I look at what I have accumulated over the years and all I can think about now is "WTF?"

I didn't ask them. But my friend did and he reckons there'll be one.

Well, I feel sorry for the families of some of the staff members. It's always hard to find a new job and they have young kids to feed.
