Default Toy Review - DETRITUS (Legacy)

    DETRITUS
    Series - Generations
    Sub-line - Legacy
    Hypo-line - Evolution
    Size/class - Deluxe
New/remould/redeco - Heavy retool of Siege Hound
    Wave - 7
    Released here - ?
    Approximate Retail Prize - $45
Approximate Size - 13cm to top of head, 13.5cm to top of cannon
    Allegiance - Mercenary
    Sub-Group - Junkion
    Alt-mode - Jeep
Main Features/Gimmicks - Evo-Fusion; gun can connect with launcher, missile can connect to back
Main Colours - deep peach, gold, brown
Main accessories - launcher, missile, pistol

The heavy retooling is a big improvement over Siege Hound. The designers have done an admirable job in trying to approximate/match the colours of the original toy, including silver on the centre of the helmet crest, and even a painted goatee on the face. The glossy deep peach plastic doesn't look as nice as the matte plastic and painted die-cast metal on the original. There is also no weathering effects (although given how badly Hasbro handles "damage" paint ops, I'd rather that they'd give us a clean looking toy).

This toy does feature both an Autobot logo in robot mode and a Decepticon logo in vehicle mode. I've added extra logo stickers so that my toy displays both factions in both modes; but it is somewhat odd that Hasbro didn't just give Detritus the new Mercenary logo that we see on toys like Exhuast, Soundblaster, Bug Bite etc. Great figure. Recommended.

If you've got any comparison shots with Siege Hound mate, it'd be appreciated.

Alas I have never owned Siege Hound. The one that I reviewed belonged to The Scream Man.
