    Robot

Legacy United Cybertron Universe Hot Shot is an updated version of the Cybertron figure. He is well articulated in his hands, neck, waist, shoulders, elbows, knees, ankles, etc. Interestingly enough, his blaster is based off the original toy with the missile, but has the missle turned into a gun barrel. Sure it'll make you miss when toys could shoot projectiles, but when was the last time you actually did that? As with Cybertron Starscream, he comes with a Cyber Key, but it's non-functional, which means you have to move his wings manually (although my Cybertron toy constantly does it without the cyber key, so that gives a +1 to the Legacy toy). Some people are complaining about the windshield on his back, but seeing as that's what he looks like in the cartoon, I give it a pass.

As a bonus, he is able to have his forearm panels removed, if you want to do that. IMO removing them can help with the wrist movements.

For a 2024 Deluxe, he is surprisingly tall, being about the same height as his original Cybertron toy! Comparing the two figures, Cybertron Hot Shot is starting to show his age with him lacking a lot of modern articulation.

    Vehicle Mode

Transformation is a bit different to the original. Instead of sliding his legs, you have to fold them. His backpack is also different, since there's a flap that connects to the top of his torso. Still it's not too hard, and the vehicle is still the same vehicle from Cybertron.

    Overall thoughts
Legacy United Hot Shot is a fantastic toy. If there were any flaws with the toy it would be that the flap on his back can get a bit loose at times, but other than that I have no issues with him. Recommended!
I'll update this when I'm needing help finding particular figures

    Ok, Hasbro. Great work.

Now after nearly 2 decades can we finally get a Cybertron Defence Hotshot in a Voyager class or larger?
I have a list of all G1 characters that have been released in CHUG form. You can find it here. Please feel free to let me know if I got anything wrong so I can fix it.

I know it's accurate, but.....those are some weird elbows on some weird arms.

I do wish they had cleaned up the panels on the arms and the butt-windshield. Yeah, it's in the cartoon, but ya know, it would be nice to improve things. Also a shame that the yellow on the back of the vehicle mode isn't a bit brighter.

As the self proclaimed hot shot fanatic here’s my review:

Transformers Generations Legacy United Deluxe Class Cybertron Universe Hot Shot

I don’t want to bore you all with a lengthy review but in short, wow.

This is everything i wanted in a modern Hot Shot, while i do have my nitpicks this is by far a worthy update to the original.

My few issues are minor, one being the head, the silver is too dark and the ‘head crest’ is too big, it casts shadow over the face unfortunately, this however i will fix when my second copy comes and i modify/paint the toy.

My other issue is the lack of his exhaust pipe guns on the wrists, i would have accepted some minor molded detail inside the doors but it’s not there unfortunately.

My final issue is just minor paint issues, unpaintable plastic in the shoulders breaking up the car mode, unfinished yellow also in alt mode etc

Now positives, damn can he pose, amazingly articulated and hardly hindered by the kibble, this is a fun toy, the transformation is almost just like the original and does a few things better.

The new Cyber Key is compatible with the old toy and can activate the gimmick, this is in no way intentional i believe as it doesn’t actually slot in properly and also isn’t compatible with Velocitron Override’s gun

He is tall for a deluxe, being taller than a lot of geewun car bots and the recent Armada Hot Shot, but he doesn’t overly stand out with the height.

Overall this is the best modern hot shot so far, i could say i hope an eventual energon hot shot will be even better but that design with the powerlinx gimmick and a deluxe budget may be hard to do right.
