I'm gonna let the pictures do most of the talking here, but just make some quick notes on things that may not be apparent from pictures alone.
+ This toy is redder in real life but looks more pinkish in my photos. But in hand it is red.
+ The light pipe eye gimmick doesn't work as well as it should due to only a small strip on the top of the head being transparent instead of the entire back of the head. On the plus side, this does mean that he doesn't have a yellow back of the head, but on the downside you need to have a direct source of light shining in from right above the head to make the eyes glow. Not really worth the effort. Although the eyes are massive enough that you don't really need a light source; the eyes remain yellow without light. So feel free to paint over the yellow strip, or maybe ToyHax will release a sticker set with a blue sticker to cover it up.
+ There are no wrist swivels. This is due to how the hands transform; there's a swivel joint that allows the hands to fold in. It would not have been possible to also give the toy both internal and external wrist swivel, not on a Deluxe.
Overall this is a really nice figure. Aside from G1 reissues, this is possibly the second most G1-accurate Optimus Prime toy released to date, other than Missing Link Convoy. And given that this is only a Deluxe Class figure, it does an amazing job. Certainly loads better than the previous Deluxe Class CHUG Optimus Prime!
Highly recommended.

My first impression was that the smaller size gave it an "uncanny valley" feeling. It's very authentic to the original toy but the wrong size compared to Missing Link where the toy feels exactly like my original Optimus in hand.
But a day later and I'm over that. I find it fun to play with and pose as a "desk bot". I feel more comfortable fiddling with this than I do the Missing Link toy which feels like a prestige figure.
My only concern is the mechanism of the fists transformation. I wasn't sure what do at first, it's a one way only swivel and the plastic of the "hinge" to open the forearms feels a bit weak and bendy.
