NOTE: I never got the original Legacy United Bumblebee toy, so this mould is new to me, but I acknowledge that it is just a repaint of Bumblebee with a retooled head.
Standard vehicle mode
I found it tricky to make every tab sit flush, resulting in a somewhat gappy vehicle mode. A stress mark developed on one of the windscreen tabs as I was trying to "encourage" it to sit flush.
Vehicle mode with rocket boosters
Vehicle mode with stingers.
I do like how the stingers can connect with the rocket boosters to form vehicle weapons like this. The cancelled original Animated toy, which would've been a straight-up repaint of the original Deluxe Animated Bumblebee, would've just only hand stingers in the arms, unable to be used in vehicle mode.
Robot mode
The boosters being attached to the back is also something that the original cancelled toy would've been able to do. I do like how Legacy Bumblebee has corrected the chest stripe side to be on the left. The original Animated Bumblebee (and cancelled Fugitive Waspinator) had the stripe on the wrong side.
Stinger weapon
The angle of the wrist slots allow the stinger halves to fully connect; something that the original was unable to do. The drawback is that they look weird as single-arm stingers.
Comparison with Animated Bumblebee (note the corrected chest stripe side) and Waspinator.
Side box art (from the side of Prima and Wasp's boxen) showing 6 of the 13 Primes.
OVERALL
A must have for Animated fans, given that the original Fugitive Waspinator toy was never released. The new head sculpt and corrected chest stripe side make it a big improvement over what we would've gotten. Not sure if it's just me, but I do wish that the panels could sit in more flush.
