Default To tampo or not to tampo. That is the question.

Hey team, was just fiddiling with my Encore Skywarp and thought 'who are takara to decide where and how to put on the Autobot or Decep insignias on our reissues'. Alot of people when it comes to the seekers wings anyway are 50/50 on whether the insignia is upside down or the right way up when in robot mode. And now with Trail/Hoist pictures ive seen the insignia is dead centre on the hood over the raised bump which i have never liked. AND.. on Encore Jazz they put the insignia centre of his racing stripes which i feel takes away the look of the car. What do you guys think...yay or nay?
I was also wondering has anyone toyed with removing the tampos off your figures with metho or turps maybe? Also, has anyone tried covering the tampo emblem with one of the stickers off the sticker sheet? Does it cover everything, perfect fit what??

well they are the company who make official toys for the franchise

if it was a blatant application error then id try my best to remove it and place it somewhere else, either for toy accuracy of cartoon accuracy

I'm not really fussed by it and I can't comment though b/c I've already got all of the reissues in very good nick and really only purchased them to get the tech spec cards and to support Encore.

Interesting question. Partly I like the tampographs on the toys as it means less stickers to put on when you open the toy and less stickers to worry about wearing off.

The Decepticon isignia on the wings has always been one of those funny things. I personally prefer them to be the right way up in robot mode.

You can thank all those lovers of "show accuracy" (cough) for that. I also prefer them to be upright in robot mode too.

I don't mind having the tampoed sigils especially on the wings. those are quite hard to align with stickers. If you ever did get it misaligned its a real pain trying to remove the stickers to re-align them, so thank goodness for tampoed sigils. I'm mostly a G1ner so I dont mind stickers, it has a certain nostalgia factor for me. Wheteher upside down or not, well I'll accept whatever tampoed position the sigils will be, but if there aint no sigils I prefer right side up in bot mode for stickers.

u can do it with practice. It takes a pair of tweezers, some good light and some patience. But then i put all the 'no step' stickers on macross jets, so I guess im pretty patient

Oh, and i put the faction stickers on MP Skywarp the way the Manual said, only to discover they are upside down in Robot (Why this didnt occour to me earlier i dont know) which I kinda regret, but can live with.
i do NOT Play with toys...

But I DO occasionally do scale model assisted simulations in physical fight dynamics.
