You were right the second time
My thoughts: It's good, but not great! It felt a little rushed in parts... eg, Hal becomes the GL before the opening titlesPlus, it's more of a Sinestro origin story really, as the plot mainly revolves around what makes him go bad, instead of what makes Hal become a true super hero.
It's still really enjoyable though!

My eldest got this for her birthday and was happy for me to show it here.

It's really an impressive statue in real life with those shiny bits actually embedded in her translucent black costume to give a very good impression of stars in the galaxy.
