no air-conditioning for the whole day.....so hot!

    Dear All

We write with reference to the air conditioning, or lack there of, experienced in the building today. We advise that due to low water pressure within the street the building was unable to refill the roof top cooling towers and therefore unable to run the building’s air conditioning plant.

We have had our contractors and building manager doing everything they can since 10.30am this morning to try and rectify the matter. We have had to be somewhat creative in refilling the towers and as a result the plant is back up and running and the building will experience cooler temperatures within the next hour.

We have been advised by City West Water that the mains pressure will return to normal by tomorrow once the issues with the Preston mains has been repaired.

We will also have our contractors onsite first thing tomorrow morning to ensure the plant is operational.

    Kind Regards

Haha...customers keep coming in sweating and complaining but I'm sitting in a slightly chilly 19 degrees.

I feel like being really facetious and throwing them a "Hot enough for ya?" or a "How 'bout this heat?"

Will we cope and just as importantly will our Transformers cope? Iceburn raised an interesting question in another thread. Will Transformers melt? Keep them away from the windows!

I remember last year when we had a stinking hot New Years seeing that the rub signs on my Classic TFs were activated just by radiant heat.
Yes Sydney has also had some hot weather but I think you guys in Melbourne will have it worse. I hope your TFs and other action figures / toys will be okay. I do think the heat is not too good for the plastic.

The rubsign on my Classics Prime is also activated, despite the fact that I've placed it on a level of a bookshelf that's facing away from the sun, with the blinds regularly down! I think when living in units, the higher up you go the hotter it gets (at least that's been my experience).

Other sucky thing about this weather is its not very desirable to speak the universal language.

I took my Machine Wars Prowl to Malaysia in their 'summer' hottest time of the year, his head turned a greeny yellow shade I also noticed that Beastwars toys fresh out of the box there dont have working rubsigns, i think the heat effected them all
