my mum (whos a tax agent) says the check will be sent around the end of the month or next month IIRC, and they should be sent to the address registered for taxation purposes, ie mine goes to her because shes my accountant

    Angry Dammit...

What a bloody week...first my stupid PC mysteriously decides to stop connecting to the internet leaving me having to use my mum's computer (and I can't even find my password so no posting under my own account either, and I was supposed to be catching up with an old friend this week and now can't really get in touch with her either) for 3 days and fork out $50 minimum to have it fixed (I currently earn about $240 a week) and now I find out I'm not eligible for Rudd's bonus because while I worked (like a dog) in 2008 it was after the 07/08 financial year...

So is this going to be a cheque or deposited in the bank account like Tax returns?

Apparently the same way you get your tax returns which is either cheque or bank deposit. They are advertising now to tell people to be sure the Tax Office has your current details.

Having changed some details via the ATO phone line (voice recognition software) I can say that it was a hassle free and easy process.

Much quicker and fewer errors with such great VRS than having to rely on an ATO employee!

I want to know, as both someone on Youth Allowance and someone who earnt over the threshhold last year, do I get both payments, or just the one?

You automatically get another $900 if you're on Austudy or Youth Allowance.

My $1800 is going into a new laptop for study!
